The weather forecast suggested we were in for an evening of cloud so I decided to visit the beach at Harland Quay on the North Devon Coast and see if I could find make a moody seascape or two. Unfortunately, the clouds were blowing away and an empty expanse of blue sky was rapidly filling the sky. Very soon all the clouds had completely vanished.
Oh well, that’s the end of that, I thought.
I wasn’t going to waste my trip, so I continued searching for compositions for future reference. As sunset approached, I noticed a new bank of cloud coming over the cliffs behind me. Maybe, just maybe…. A little while later the clouds were stating to appear in my viewfinder and just as the colours of the setting sun peaked, the clouds were perfectly positioned to catch the warm light.
