These images are part of a larger long-term project that I’ve been working on for the last couple of years. I will talk more about this in another post soon, but these I made at the end of last week in a favourite local woodland of mine in the Mendip Hills.
I have been visiting these woods regularly for several years in different weather, seasons etc. but this time was the first occasion I had visited solely for the purpose of making infrared images. I almost always carry my infrared camera with me, but I have learned that my best infrared images tend to happen when I am totally immersed in infrared without any distractions.
I have walked past these trees and along these paths dozens of times in the past and had never seen many of these images before. With just the one camera in hand last Friday evening however, images were jumping out at me.
